Teach-A-Rama Conference To Include common Core State Standards Instructional Strategies

The Delta Rho Chapter of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. in partnership with San Bernardino Valley College and the San Bernardino City Unified School District invites teachers, substitute teachers, parents, and community members to attend the 2013 Teach-A-Rama conference on Saturday, September 21. The free event begins at 8 a.m. in the Liberal Arts Building on the campus of San Bernardino Valley College, 701 S. Mount Vernon Ave., in San Bernardino.

Dr. Kennon Mitchell, assistant superintendent, San Bernardino City Unified School District will provide the keynote address on the conference’s theme, Education in Transition… Putting the Pieces in Place. The conference also includes workshops on the Common Core State Standards and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
