Rialto Toastmasters Club is hosting a Bid Whiz/Dominos Tournament & Bar-Barbecue to benefit youth in Anti-bullying Speech Contest

Rialto, CA—The legacy of the Inland Empires’ well know Toastmaster, (late) Vernon Bragg Jr. in assisting youth to communicate in a public forum continues in the Rialto Club dedicated to carry his name.

On Saturday, October 26, the Vernon Bragg Jr. Rialto Toastmaster Club is hosting a Bid

Whiz/Dominos Tournament, Barbecue and Conversation at Raquel’s Jazz Lounge located at 134 S. Riverside Avenue in Rialto. Registration begins at 2:00 p.m. and the games begin at 2:30 p.m.

The cost is $25 Buy-In per person and INCLUDES a Bar-B-Q Dinner, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place cash prizes, and gift cards for “Boston Winners.” The cost is $10.00 per person for non-players and includes a Bar-B-Q dinner. Proceeds will benefit the 2014 – 5th Annual Vernon Bragg Jr. Youth Leadership Speech Contest: The topic is anti-bullying.

The public is invited to attend this very special fundraiser. The evening promises to be filled with fun, laughter, good food, and conversation. Vernon Braggs Jr. Rialto Toastmaster Club 4064 Is hosting a “Speech Craft” for the public to attend

Speechcraft is a four week workshop in which you will learn to prepare and present a speech and to handle impromptu speaking situations. You will study and practice these skills in a friendly, non-threatening environment with the help of knowledgeable and friendly people. Speechcraft can help you because;

It is a program designed for beginners in public speaking.

The hands-on program provides the “how-to” and the practical experience critical to the progress.

An atmosphere of professional camaraderie makes each course a unique learning environment dedicated to personal improvement.

The program can be tailored to meet your personal objectives.

The workshop begins on August 13th at 7:00 a.m. and runs through September 10th, 2013. (Upon completion, a ceremonial graduation takes place) The sessions ends 8:30 a.m.

The site location is Carrow’s Restaurant located at 298 West Baseline Road, Rialto,CA. The price for the workshop is $10.00 which includes a Toastmaster Speechcraft handbook plus a range of other handout materials that provide valuable reference material after the program is finished.
