Retirement Reception held for Dr. Jean Peacock at CSUSB Featured

They came, even filled the room in the San Manuel Student Center at CSUSB, to attend the reception for the planned retirement of Jean Peacock, PhD,

Associate Dean, College of Social & Behavioral Sciences at Cal State University San Bernardino. The farewell, though a sad one for her colleagues, was filled with many well wishes of fun, relaxation, and joy in her new-found time for leisure, but, they didn’t want to let her go. Speaker after speaker: Campus administrators; Fellow faculty in the Psychology Department; Staff members from around the campus; and , of course, Students......People she taught, mentored, encouraged, and befriended; all spoke glowingly of who Jean Peacock is, and her committment to them, and to CSUSB. Among those in attendance were: Albert K. Karnig, PhD, President Emeritus, CSUSB; CSUSB President, Tomas Morales; J Milton Clark, PhD, Associate Vice President Undergraduate Studies, & Diversity Officer; Professor Mary Texiera, PhD.; Twilliea Evans- Carthen, Manager, Human Resources Programs & Employment; Assemblymember Cheryl R. Brown; Robert Ricco, PhD, Professor & Chair and friends & family. Assemblymember Cheryl Brown presented an Assembly ‘Certificate of Recognition’ to retiring honoree, Professor, Jean Peacock, PhD. for her dedication to CSUSB. Robert Ricco,PhD, Chair, Dept of Psychology; CSUSB, presented a plaque: “From the CSUSB Psychology Faculty In Honor of Dr. Jean Peacock, Outstanding Teacher, Scholar & Campus Leader, For Your Devotion To Student Success At Every Level, June 7, 2013.”
